Total lung capacity "TLC") refers to the total amount of air in the lungs after taking the deepest breath possible. The TLC is measured in terms of percentage of predicted. A normal TLC is between 80% - 120% of predicted. Please see the TDP for each Trust for the TLC requirements of the various disease levels.
